A crappy situation was made worse after a burst pipe sent a river of raw sewage flowing from the walls into a West Side co-op owners' home, and the co-op board of the luxurious building balked at a difference of less than five grand in paying for the clean-up. Most of the disputed amount involved $2,300 in compensation and maintenance abatement of for the month in which the owners couldn't live in their literal crap hole co-op. [Habitat]
