The seeming constant in 180 Ludlow's ongoing identity crisis—boutique hotel, rental apartments, hotel again—was that of its status as an unfinished shell of a building. A change of ownership finally got things moving, however, and the building's concrete skeleton has been putting on some weight recently, as shown above in the picture from EVGrieve. Already we've lost the multi-tiered Brutalist diving platform, and can now await a new 170-room hotel of a currently indiscernible design. Does anyone out there have some renderings for us that show what's in store? Send 'em along please!
