What $2,800/Month Can Rent You Around New York City

New, 11 comments

Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what one can rent for a set dollar amount in various New York City neighborhoods. Is one man's studio another man's townhouse? Let's find out! Today's price: $2,800/month.

? If the teal and lavender walls of this 2BR in the East Village bother you, don't worry—the whole apartment is being repainted white (if the teal and lavender walls excite you, call the broker, quick.) It's going for $2,895/month.

? In Clinton Hill, this 950-square-foot, 2BR brownstone apartment is available for $2,700/month. Utilities are included and it's connected to a shared garden.

? On the Upper West Side, this recently-renovated 2BR is going for $2,900/month. It includes a windowed kitchen and a decorative fireplace.

? Another newly-renovated 2BR, this one on the Lower East Side, is available for $2,800/month. The bedrooms look a little on the small side, but the photos of them are exceptionally well-taken. Great job with the photos.

? In Chelsea, this 1BR featuring a wall of exposed brick is going for $2,800/month. It is currently undergoing a gut renovation but says that it will be available in two weeks, so maybe take that with a grain of salt.

? In Crown Heights, this "3 BERDDOM" (3BR) is available for $2,700/month. It includes french doors, a chandelier, and some nice molding.

? And, finally, on the Upper East Side, we have this somewhat blurry, 650-square-foot 1BR in an owner-occupied, landmarked building. It's asking $2,750/month, includes some utilities, and does not allow dogs.
