Is The $100M City Spire Penthouse an Embarrassing Horror?

New, 39 comments

Juan Pablo Molyneux, the interior designer credited with outfitting the interiors of the $100M penthouse at City Spire, says he wants no credit for decorating that started with his designs, but ended with some independent input from the owner Steven Klar. "I never thought that this horror would be published," he told The Real Deal, "and then everybody would blame me for having done it." After $50 million we start to lose our eye for what looks good and what doesn't. Our vision becomes clouded as we try to wrap our brains around that much apartment. Is this really as bad as Molyneux seems to think it is?
