Preservationists, rejoice! A piece of the original Penn Station has been discovered. Or rather, it's been in the new Penn Station this entire time, we just didn't know. It's an entryway that was walled off in 1963 when the above ground station was razed, and it was uncovered during a renovation in 1990, without so much as a press release announcing its recovery.
