Micro-Apartment Fever Has Officially Hit Red Hook's Ikea

Micro fever is spreading to the outer boroughs. A tipster recently told us that the Red Hook Ikea had on display a version of the micro-apartment that Bloomberg & Co. have been going crazy over recently. The 275-square-foot version sent in by our tipster was no longer in the store when we stopped by, but a slightly larger 391-square-feet was on display. Inside was a nicely furnished one-bedroom, one-bath stylishly outfitted by the Swedish furniture giant. If furniture with names you can’t pronounce and small square footage appeal to you, then welcome to the future, friends.
