There isn't enough to dread today, so let's all think about the threat of rising sea levels in New York City. The city needs to be installing sea gates for storm surges and thinking about somehow protecting hazardous materials in the South Bronx and Sunset Park, engineers say. There's also the possibility of asking developers to think about climate change before construction new buildings. Or they could just build things like this. [NYT]
