The Archdiocese of New York would like a modification to the proposed Midtown East rezoning. City rules currently don't allow landmarked buildings to sell their air rights, which means the perpetually under-renovation St. Patrick's Cathedral would have no way to profit from the rezoning, while buildings without landmark status would. The church would like to somehow change that. [DNAinfo; previously]
