The Chelsea Green condo building, the eco-focused project planned for 151 West 21st Street, has gone about things in an unconventional order. The building?which has the same developer as name sibling Village Green?opened its sales office, designed to look like an apartment, back in May. But the building has only just begun construction. We wandered by to snap a few photos earlier this week; according to the developers, the building will rise at a rate of two floors per week. Signage on site estimates building completion in fall 2013.
When Curbed photog Will Femia visited the sales office-slash-model unit this spring, there was a model of the entire building on display. It looked like this:

The building will have 1BR, 2BR, and 3BR apartments, plus one 4BR penthouse. As for the amenities, there's this from a building press release: "Envisioned as a sanctuary for renewal, the building's amenities focus on the concept of healthy living through its Wellness Center comprised of a lounge, fitness room, spa with sauna and treatment room, and a rooftop lounge?.Adjacent to the lobby are the Wellness Center Lounge and Media Café where residents can enjoy billiards, make an espresso, work on their laptops, or arrange private, rooftop yoga classes." The building was 50 percent sold last time we checked.
