The Artist Build Collective wants to light up a pedestrian area under the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway in Red Hook with an art installation that would use the sounds from the BQE to illuminate colorful lights. The group has raised $14,800 of the $20,000 they need to make the interactive project, called Silent Lights, a reality, and they've already worked with the DOT to build a prototype.
