Do You Like Your $3.5M Soho Condos Completely Insane?

New, 9 comments

Imagine you have around $3,500,000 to spend on an apartment and you've narrowed it down to two condos in the same neighborhood. How do you make up your mind? The answer is simple: you shove them into a metaphorical cage and let them battle it out until one emerges victorious. It's time for Real Estate Deathmatch.

Address 554 Broome Street #1R 115 Mercer Street #4S
Price $3,495,000 $3,495,000
CC/Taxes $2,943 $3,978
Square Footage 3,200 1,982
Beds, Baths 2, 2.5 2, 2

Most Real Estate Deathmatches could probably be described as coming to down to "a matter of taste." This one, however, is really a matter of taste because 554 Broome Street is straight-up nuts. From the bright red cabinetry to the huge Italian marble fireplace to the bronze bull head fixed to the exposed brick wall to the petrified tree trunk just hanging from the ceiling...we could go on. 115 Mercer Street, on the other hand, has some couches and large windows, so that's really exciting. It also has 33 percent higher monthly costs.
