This apartment, like all the apartments in French starchitect Jean Nouvel's 100 Eleventh Avenue (also known as the Vision Machine), is spare. Sort of like a really spacious padded cell, but with no pads, and also an entire wall of windows looking out over a women's prison (or, if you prefer, "naughty girls club.") And, for only $17,499/month, all 1,950 square feet of it can be yours. Sure, you might have to put on sun screen just to walk through the living room, but that's a small price to pay for the opportunity to live inside the work of a Pritzker Prize winner. The apartment was listed around this time last year for $13,950/month and last sold in 2011 for $3,665,700, which is not a small price, but one that was paid anyway.
