Although Jamestown Properties had hoped to silence the opposition to their Chelsea Market expansion by scaling the project back slightly and contributing $19 million to the High Line and an affordable housing fund, that was—let's face it—never going to happen. Yesterday, representatives of various groups, including the Tenants Political Action Committee, Save Chelsea, and the GVSHP, held a rally speaking out against the upzoning that the project would require.
