The president of the co-op board at 1107 Fifth Avenue put in a $21 million bid for the penthouse apartment in her building. After being spurned, she has allegedly exacted her revenge by declaring the unit's enormous wraparound terrace to be public space. The apartment's sellers, who accepted someone else's bid of $27.5 million, are now suing her for $5 million in damages and a court order declaring the terrace to be private. The board president evidently has considerably sway in the building and declined to comment through her doorman. [NYP; previously]
