Ultra Green Condo Building is Coming to Brighton Beach

New, 2 comments

Weird-looking green buildings seem to be the next big thing for Brooklyn. First plans were unveiled for an ecotastic rental in Park Slope, then Carroll Gardens got a self-powered building, and now Douglas Elliman broker William Hendrickson reports that a NYC Green-certified condo building is nearing completion in Brighton Beach. Called Bright N' Green (get it?), the new 15,000-square-foot building will have six condos for sale, and it's located at 67 Brighton 1st Lane. A rendering shows solar panels and wind turbines on the roof, and other green features include a grey water recycling system and insulated panel walls. DOB records list the infamous Robert Scarano as the architect.

This is the first we've heard of the development. It has yet to hit StreetEasy, and while Hendrickson says Douglas Elliman is the exclusive broker for the condos, they are not yet on the website. Any other intel about the project is welcome on the tipline.
