At long last, Brookfield Office Properties will break ground tomorrow on the Manhattan West development, beginning construction on the 120,000-square-foot platform that will cover the Amtrak rail yards leading to Penn Station. The $4.5 billion project will have two 2-million-square-foot office towers, a residential building, and a 1.5 acre public space, all bounded by Ninth and Dyer Avenues and West 31st and 33rd Streets.
