The biggest New York City property sale of 2012 wasn't the usual Manhattan office building. Instead, it was Kings Plaza, a 1.1 million square foot retail plaza way out in Marine Park, Brooklyn, that sold for $751 million. Retail also took the No. 2 spot, with the $707 million sale of 666 Fifth Avenue. Of the top 25 biggest sales, only 11 office buildings were included, and just three of those made the top ten.
