Micro Apartments That Could Have Been; Action In ProCro

New, 5 comments

KIP'S BAY?The micro apartment of the future has been revealed, but what else could it have looked like? One of the other finalists?a team consisting of HWKN, Blesso Properties, Bronx Pro, and James McCullar Architecture?sent along their proposal for our viewing pleasure. Called "Max," this building, rendered above, would have had 56 250-square-foot units "arranged around a vertical public core, topped by a 'hat' of communal rooftop amenity space. [...] Max wants you to make friends, have a drink, socialize, and expand beyond your four walls." Would you have preferred the crazy to the modular boxes? [CurbedWire Inbox; previously]

PROCRO?Lots of action happening in Prospect and Crown Heights. Ariel Property Advisors sold three investment properties in the area, and they are seeing a continued demand for buildings. A 8,100-square-foot mixed-use building with six apartments and four commercial units at 1130-36 President Street in Crown Heights sold for $1.4 million. Over on Classon Avenue, a parking lot sold for $460K and a community-use condo space on the ground floor of condo building 825 Classon sold for $450K. [CurbedWire Inbox]

WEST VILLAGE?Last week, a tipster told us that Sean William Scott may have put his penthouse at 9 Barrow Street up for sale, but a new tipster tells us that's not so. New tipster knows the place well, and he informed us that the unit that is for sale is the same unit we featured in this 2011 post about combining floor plans. Scott lives down the hall in a different penthouse. [CurbedWire Inbox; previously]
