Newbie 135 East 79th Street Seeks to Blend In on the UES

Progress is visible on the exterior of 135 East 79th Street, the Brodsky Organization's new building on the site of the old Hunter College School for Social Work. The design is meant to spark thoughts of NYC's apartment buildings of old, and the construction methods will help with that: the bricks are being laid by hand. Here's a look at how the limestone and brick facade, minus a few windows, is coming along.
