A 23,200-square-foot warehouse in north Crown Heights could be converted to residential use, reports Brownstoner. The empty building sits at 964 Dean Street between Classon and Franklin Avenues, and the property has vacant land with frontage on both Dean and Pacific Streets. The area is currently zoned for manufacturing, but approval for apartments could be a game changer for this part of Crown Heights. The area has seen a lot of interest lately: Brownstoner's future mega food market will be located just down the street at 1000 Dean Street, and a warehouse a few blocks away on Atlantic Avenue is being converted into workspaces for artists and artisans.
