Developers can officially start vying for the nine parcels that make up the Seward Park Urban Renewal Area, as the city released the RFP today. The RFP was teased back in November, and the deets are still the same: 1,000 residential units, a 15,000-square-foot public open space, and a new 30,000-square-foot Essex Market, with an overall split of 60 percent residential space to 40 percent commercial space for the entire project. Developers can submit for the whole project or just a part. Proposals are due May 6, and we'll find out who will be making over the 1.65 million square foot area this fall. [LoDown NY; previously]
