A 16-story affordable housing development is rising on a large empty lot at 250 Utica Avenue in Crown Heights. The LEED-seeking project will have 87 studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units available for people making about 60 percent of the area medium income. The first four floors will be for commercial space, including a community center for a church, a discount gym, a discount market, and a day care. [Brownstoner]
