Notorious illegal hotel tattletale informant Tom Cayler has shut down two B&Bs in Harlem. Cayler, a frequent 311 caller who chairs the West Side Neighborhood Alliance' Illegal Hotel Committee (which actually exists), is now facing backlash from the owner. Jeremy Archer closed the Sugar Hill Harlem Inn and its sister site before city inspectors did it for him: "October is my busiest month. I am losing a lot of money over this." Cayler retorted: ""Why do I care about a hotel in Harlem? Because we are losing affordable housing in Harlem and I care about affordable housing." [NYDN; photo via Harlem Sugar Hill Inn]
