It took more than three years and more than $8.5 million worth of price chops, but romance novelist Barbara Taylor Bradford and her husband have finally found a buyer for their 13-room spread in the oh-so-exclusive River House?and, according to the Post, it's none other than Kill Bill star Uma Thurman. Bradford first listed the unit for $18.995 million back in March 2010, and it would have set a record for the building had it sold for that amount. But, alas, the last listing price was $10.3 million, and the Post says it sold for an even $10 million.
The 4BR/4.5BA unit 6A of the River House faces the East River, and it has two wood-burning fireplaces, three maid's rooms, and an eat-in kitchen, plus a bar, library, sitting room, dining room, and separate laundry room.
Last year, Thurman sold her Greenwich Village townhouse for $12 million and purchased a $1.5M one-bedroom in Gramercy Park (complete with a key to the park) which she'll use as her private escape when her three kids start to drive her crazy in their new, massive River House home. At least that's what we would do.
