Closings At 200 East 79th; Slope Hospital Expansion Update

New, 5 comments

UPPER EAST SIDE?Skyline Developers' condo at 200 East 79th Street avoided the limelight, instead opting for minimal advertising and a quiet sales launch. We saw the sales office almost a year ago, and it sold out in less than four months after sales started, but reps waited for closings to start until spreading the word. Now that closings are underway, the first residents are moving into the 39-unit, Cetra/Ruddy-designed building. [CurbedWire Inbox; previously]

PARK SLOPE?Whether Park Slopers like it or not, New York Methodist Hospital is expanding. The institution filed plans yesterday with the Board of Standards and Appeals, and a tipster pulled out some helpful numbers from the documents: "Nearly 500,000 square feet of space. 152 feet tall. 327 employees. 1548 daily visitors. 260 vehicle trips daily. 1,023 parking spaces. 318 workers and 23 trucks in and out daily during the four year construction phase." The full application, drawings, and environmental assessment can be found here. [CurbedWire Inbox; previously]
