The Citi Bike programs has finally emerged as the dangerous menace that everyone always knew it was. Two lawsuits are being filed against the city by individual citizens who—wait for it—tripped over the bike racks. One complainant, who is legally blind, says that the racks look like they're part of the sidewalk (if you're legally blind) and wants $500 in medical expenses. Okay, whatever. The other, who is not legally blind and is actually just a person who tripped over a huge bike rack in the street, wants $1 million. [NYDN; previously]
