A federal judge has ordered a 10-day hold on the destruction of 5Pointz, the beloved graffiti mecca in Long Island CIty. Two weeks ago, a group of artists and advocates filed a lawsuit against G&M Realty, seeking a temporary restraining order to keep the building from being demolished to make way for two luxury residential towers. Now, they are hoping that the judge will announce a hearing for a preliminary injunction, allowing them to testify. It might be a long shot, but 5Pointz isn't dead yet. [LIC Post via TRD; previously]
