After Young Woo & Associates joined forces with the Tribeca Film Festival to make its successful bid for Pier 57, the developer dropped the organization from its plans, the film festival now alleges in a lawsuit. The festival says Young Woo & Associates promised the festival naming rights for the pier and $5 million for a rooftop arts venue. Then, once the developer's proposal had been approved, they went with the name SuperPier and abandoned the arts space idea?or at least, that's how the Tribeca Film Festival tells it.
