Of all the restaurants still closed because of Hurricane Sandy damage, the Seaport's Bridge Cafe may be the most sorely missed. The 219-year-old institution took on nine feet of water, which completely saturated the nearly 400-year-old wood that makes up the structure. That, plus the owner's "own obstinacy about getting building permits," means that construction will finally?hopefully?be finished by Valentine's Day. [NYT; Bridge Cafe on Eater NY]
