The tower once called "New York's most ignored skyscraper" won't be when it finally opens its doors on November 11 (yes, on 11/12/13). The Daily News takes a look inside 4 World Trade Center, Japanese architect Fumihiko Maki's meticulously designed tower 'o glass and geometry on the southeastern corner of the 16-acre site. The early verdict? Larry Silverstein's 72-story office building, which counts Port Authority as its main tenant, serves as a subtle, elegant, "hyper-reflective" backdrop to the somber 9/11 memorial to its south. Just as when we visited the construction site last fall, the views are pretty darn stellar. [NYDN; previously]
