"The toilet-sink combo is commonplace in Japan, but the big difference there is that your toilet is by itself in one small room (hence the need for a second mini-sink) and your bathtub and bathroom sink are in another. It enables you to use the toilet while your Japanese dad is taking a nice long hot bath after toiling away at the office. Back to Red Hook, the way they're being used here is atrocious. You still need a real place to wash your face. On the plus side, at least they didn't put the toilet in the bathtub."?anon [This Red Hook Toilet Sink Is the Saddest Space-Saver Ever]
