Last month, Penthouse One in Walker Tower announced its candidacy for the title of Most Expensive Downtown Condo Ever when it was listed for $55 million. It might never get the chance to hold that spot, though, if this penthouse in the Ritz-Carlton, Battery Park gets its way. The 7,500-square-foot, 12-room duplex just hit the market for $56.5 million, and features a full bar, fireplace, and rooftop hot tub, not to mention some pretty incredible One WTC views. The unit appears to have been created from two units that sold in 2006 sponsor sales for a combined $8.1 million.
