Department of Transportation: 1. Citi Bike opponents: 0. A Manhattan judge ruled against the Soho residents who sued over the placement of a 32-dock Citi Bike station in the small Petrosino Square. The opponents argued that Citi Bikes were for commuters, not pleasure riders, and therefore had no right to be on parkland. The judge disagreed, saying "bicycling is an important form of recreation that has had a proper 'park purpose' for many years." The opponents, obviously, plan to appeal. [NYP; previously]
