Renovations

New, 11 comments

Renovations are underway at Harlem's iconic Dunbar Apartments, with developer E&M Associates spearheading the project. According to Frederik Eklund, the renovations include turning eleven units into a fitness center, refurbishing gardens, and adding a playground, extra security, and a doorman. The landmarked Dunbar Apartments were originally built by John D. Rockefeller, Jr. in 1926 and served as one of the city's first experiments in affordable housing, primarily for African American residents. [TRD]
