Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Send nominations to the tipline.
"Move right into this exceptionally well cared for studio in a full service coop for less than $300,000," exclaims the brokerbabble for this studio at 310 East 49th Street. True, #9E is asking $289,000, a mere pittance in this crazy market. The living area measures 12' by 19', so it qualifies as a microdwelling in our book?despite its apparent lack of a space-saving toilet sink. Unlike this other sad sack of a studio, this one has two normal-sized closets and one miniature one, plus access to a shared roof deck and $36/month storage in the building. The seller's Murphy bed can be purchased along with the apartment. It so happens that apartment #9F, an unfurnished pad across the hall with a virtually identical floorplan, is also on the market, asking $280K. Maintenance for the pint-sized units is on the high side at $932/month, but it's hard to find fault with the asks.
