If the $1.7 million sale of Spike Lee's Crooklyn house wasn't reason enough to believe that the once dangerous streets of Bed-Stuy had reached a whole new level of gentrification, a Swedish supermodel moving to the neighborhood certainly should be. The Observer reports that Sara Blomqvist, who landed her first magazine cover at the age of 18 (in 2007), dropped $1.2 million on a three-story townhouse in the area. It sold in 2006 for $799,000 to the current owners, who converted it from a single-family home.
