Surprise, surprise: with a day to go until the shovels-in-ground deadline for Flushing Commons, the developers have gotten an extension. The project?to construct a mixed-use complex that will, in the first phase, include 160 apartments and retail and commercial space, as well as a park, with another 450 residential units to follow?has already suffered through eight years of delays.
