Jonathan Safran Foer Lists Park Slope Mansion for $14.5M

New, 26 comments

As rumored, novelist Jonathan Safran Foer and his wife Nicole Krauss, also a novelist, have put their enormous 7,670-square-foot limestone townhouse on the market for a whopping $14.5 million. The 16-room house was built in 1901 as a private residence for Woolworth heirs and includes such features as an off-street parking spot behind a fancy gate, tin ceilings, stained glass windows, a beautiful garden, a roof terrace, and a third-floor conservatory where everything is illuminated with light. (Get it? Everything Is Illuminated? We'll show ourselves out.) Foer and Krauss bought the house in 2005 for $5.75 million.
