GCT Shake Shack Opens Tomorrow; Shuffleboard in BK; More!

This week's top dish from Eater NY, Curbed's restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog...

1) Gowanus: The owners of The Royal Palms really, really want to open their 17,000-square-foot shuffleboard palace (above), so they've launched a campaign on Kickstarter. Expect the "sweetest, smoothest, fanciest shuffleboard courts this fine city has ever seen!"

2) Meatpacking District: Everyone panicked upon hearing Pastis would be closing at the end of the year, but restaurateur Keith McNally swears on some pate this is not the end for the area's French staple.

3) Midtown East: Shake Shack opens in Grand Central tomorrow, where it will not only serve up hand-cut fries but beer in bottles for commuters' convenience.

4) Williamsburg: That Urban Outfitters with a bar planned for North 6th Street? It is also meant to house the first NY outpost of LA chef Ilan Hall's The Gorbals, but the community board rejected the plans last night. Womp.

5) Soho: Now that MercBar closed, are there no bars that are just bars in Soho anymore?
