After winning on a technicality last week, Airbnb's business model remains on shaky ground. But on Thursday, CEO Brian Chesky posted a letter on the Airbnb website defending his company and offering a framework for patching things up with the city. Among his ideas: a city occupancy tax levied on all Airbnb transactions and a 24/7 hotline for neighbors to complain and report abuses of the system. Seems like a good first step, but not everyone is leaping for joy. [Airbnb]
