The Lower East Side Business Improvement District is running a contest for artists to submit ideas to spruce up the triangle where Division, Ludlow, and Canal Streets meet. Working with the organization ArtHere, the winning design will be stenciled onto the pavement by springtime, and the artist could be given $3,000 in grants from the DoT's urban art program. Those interested can submit their plans on the ArtHere website. [DNAinfo]
