On Friday, United American Land closed on the purchase of a landmarked six-story building at 287 Broadway in Tribeca. The building was constructed in 1872 and bought by the Gindi family (owners of Century 21) in 1969. It was designated a city landmark in 1989 and according to new owner Albert Laboz, the building will undergo a multi-million renovation to convert the building into luxury rental lofts, with retail space on the ground floor. United American Land paid $8 million for the building. [TRD]
