There are rumors floating around Coney Island, not for the first time, that the area's oldest structure could be demolished. The Grashorn House at 1104 Surf Avenue was built in the 1880s, predating Coney Island's first amusement park by around a decade. Now locals worry that the Thor Equities-owned building could be facing the wrecking ball after the neighboring storefront was vacated by its current tenant, Game World.
