Forest City Ratner promised 2,250 affordable housing units in order to get the Atlantic Yards project approved. Seven years later, zero affordable units have been built and community leaders are getting antsy, bemoaning the fact that "there really is no oversight and no one is holding Forest City Ratner accountable," and calling on new majority owner of the project, Chinese company Greenland Group, to accelerate the affordable units. In fairness, no un-afforable unit have been built yet either—just a big arena. [NYDN; previously]
