Construction Accidents

Yesterday morning, a construction worker fell from scaffolding at an NYU building at 19 University Place. Reports say the worker was on top of the scaffolding and then fell six-stories onto an adjacent roof. He was transported to Bellevue where he later died of his injuries. According to NYU Director of Public Affairs Phillip Lentz, the University has shut down all façade work to ensure that contractors are in compliance with safety protocols. [Gothamist]
