Lights! Camera! Action!

New, 1 comment

A new exhibition at the Museum of the Moving Image chronicles Astoria's formative role in the development of film in the United States. Titled "Lights, Camera, Astoria!", the exhibit focuses on the evolution of Kaufman Astoria Studios, one of the most influential and important film studios in the history of American cinema, and where movies like Animal Crackers and Goodfellas, and shows such as Sesame Street and Law & Order have been shot. The exhibit will run through February 2014. [NYDN]
