After a Mayor Mike-presided a groundbreaking for the then-dubbed Triangle Court in 2011, the rental project faded from memory until construction began in earnest earlier this year. Why? Mostly because, as a former gas station, the brownfield site required a lot of decontamination work before the angular 52-unit structure, designed by Koh Architecture, could safely rise. And rise it has456 Grand aims to be ready to lease in December, with estimated move-ins for early next year. There's one studio ($2,200/month) and one three-bedroom (rent TBD), with the rest of the units 1BRs ($3,100 to $4,200) and 2BRs ($4,300 to $6,000). Oh, those rising Brooklyn rents. The lot is located right at Borinquen Place, not far from the BQE. Reps say they've received 3,000 inquiries via the teaser site, one indication of the demand, which hints at a neighborhood sub-section on the rise... as are the multiple other construction sites one passes while walking from the L train.
