An industrial building at 247 Water Street in Dumbo could become a hotel designed by AB Architekten. At one point, the building house 60 people living in wide-open lofts, but a long landlord-tenant battle, a fire, and evictions changed that. The owner filed plans with the DOB for an 8-story hotel that partially preserves the existing building, but they have yet to be approved. [Brownstoner]
