An Unchanged Brooklyn

New, 1 comment

Many parts of North Brooklyn have been so completely taken over by gentrification, that they no longer look like they did a decade ago, let alone 30 years ago. But the industrial Metropolitan Avenue has been immune to most change. For Narrative.ly, Lilly O'Donnell travels to 1000 Metropolitan Avenue, where she lived in a "loft" with her parents as a child. Amazingly, the area is exactly what it used to be. "This building is not only proof that my loft existed once upon a time, but that it still is my loft; a portal back in time." [Narrative.ly]
