An Unchanged Brooklyn

New, 1 comment

Many parts of North Brooklyn have been so completely taken over by gentrification, that they no longer look like they did a decade ago, let alone 30 years ago. But the industrial Metropolitan Avenue has been immune to most change. For, Lilly O'Donnell travels to 1000 Metropolitan Avenue, where she lived in a "loft" with her parents as a child. Amazingly, the area is exactly what it used to be. "This building is not only proof that my loft existed once upon a time, but that it still is my loft; a portal back in time." []
