North Brooklyn's favorite place for lifeguard brawls swimming hole is on its way to becoming a winter wonderland. Yesterday, a Curbed operative passed by the McCarren Pool just as trucks were delivering the materials to turn part of swimming hole into a 7,200-square-foot ice skating rink. Massive pallets of rental skates also arrived, along with a Zamboni, which was parked in the dirt beside the pool.
The rink is scheduled to open next Friday, November 15, and it will operate seven days a week through January.
